The series is not about the politics of war, but rather examines the physical, emotional and cultural challenges the soldiers face.

Sometimes a moment in history comes along that demands a man and a machine to solve a crisis or meet a great challenge. In this new series, former Navy "Top Gun" fighter pilot Hunter Ellis looks at those times when a man, moment, and machine came together to make history. Episodes feature Swede Momsen's diving bell that rescued 33 men stranded on a sunken Navy Submarine in 1939, Red Adair's capping gear and explosives that put out raging Kuwaiti oil fires in 1991, and Ambassador Graham Martin and the helicopters that swept Americans and South Vietnamese to safety during the fall of Saigon in 1975.

"American Dad" , from "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, is the animated story of Stan Smith, who works for the CIA and is constantly on the alert for terrorist activity. Stan will go to extremes to protect his beloved America from harm. In addition to Stan's wife and teenage children, the Smith househod has two rather unconventional members. There's Roger, the sarcastic space alien Stan rescued from Area 51 who deeply resents the fact that he's not allowed to leave the house, and Klaus, a lascivious German-speaking goldfish - the result of a CIA experiment gone seriously wrong.
